EveryBenefit exists because Canadian benefit programs are genuinely hard to read. The official pages are accurate but dense, the amounts change on a schedule nobody announces, and the difference between a good decision and a costly one is often a single rule buried three clicks deep.
Our job is translation. Every guide on this site starts from the official source — Service Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency, or the legislation itself — and is rewritten the way a knowledgeable friend would explain it: amounts up front, math shown, jargon defined or deleted.
How figures are sourced
- Every amounts page links its official sources at the bottom
- Every page carries a last updated stamp, and amounts pages are rechecked whenever the government republishes its figures (OAS adjusts quarterly; CPP and tax figures every January)
- If a number here ever disagrees with canada.ca, canada.ca is right — tell us and we will fix it the same day
What this site is not
EveryBenefit is an independent educational website. It is not the Government of Canada, Service Canada, or the CRA, and nothing here is personal financial advice. Your benefits depend on your own record — your My Service Canada Account is the source of truth for your amounts.
